BIOTA200 TEST
Does your belly feel bloated? Do you feel that some foods are bad for you?
Approximately 30% of the population has untreated or improperly treated digestive problems.
Discover the status of your intestinal health with the BIOTA200 Test , from SYNLAB ® Laboratory.
The BIOTA200 Test allows you to identify the cause of digestive problems through the combination of two tests:
the Intestinal Microbiota Functional Study and the A200 Food Intolerance Study .
FUNCTIONAL STUDY OF THE INTESTINAL MICROBIOTA
This study evaluates the Intestinal Microbiota with therapeutic interest. Includes parasites and viruses.
EFMI + Parasites, Viruses, Helicobacter and Clostridium
Currently, more and more people are experiencing pathologies related to the digestive system.
The symptoms presented are not serious, in the vast majority of cases, but they affect the quality of life of those suffering from these pathologies.
The current lifestyle, with high levels of stress, poor diet or certain treatments can alter the intestinal microbiota, causing an imbalance in the different types of microorganisms that live in our intestines.
This condition, known as dysbiosis, can be responsible for many digestive problems that manifest themselves in different ways.
In our intestine, there are more than 1,000 different species of bacteria that make up the intestinal microbiota.
A healthy and balanced Intestinal Microbiota is essential to ensure adequate digestive function.
Samples: Feces
Fasting: 4h
A200 FOOD INTOLERANCE STUDY
The A200 study consists of determining IgG antibodies in the blood against proteins from more than 200 foods from the Mediterranean diet.
Eliminating foods that cause hypersensitivity (high levels of IgG) from the diet leads to a visible improvement in symptoms in a high percentage of individuals.
The A200 study is especially indicated for individuals who present any of the following symptoms, without an etiological diagnosis and/or without significant improvements with usual medical treatment:
Gastrointestinal disorders: abdominal pain and/or bloating, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, ulcers and mouth ulcers, acidity, gastritis, colitis.
Dermatological problems: acne, eczema, psoriasis, urticaria.
Neurological problems: headache, migraine, dizziness, vertigo.
Respiratory problems: cough, bronchitis, asthma, rhinitis.
Psychological problems: anxiety, depression, fatigue, hyperactivity.
Musculoskeletal disorders: pain, stiffness, arthritis, fibromyalgia.
Fluid retention
Samples: Blood
Fasting: 4h
FOOD FATS TESTING
Do you consume adequate fats?
The dietary fat test shows the consumption of fatty acids in the last 3-4 months, while the analysis of fatty acids present in serum only shows the consumption of the last 7-10 days.
The dietary fat test analyzes the fatty acids present in the cell membrane of erythrocytes (red blood cells), which allows us to know the type of fats usually ingested in the diet, as well as their composition and function.
It allows you to detect possible deficiencies or imbalances and, in this way, prevent the development of certain diseases through diet.
Samples: Blood
Fasting: 12h
LACTOSE INTOLERANCE TEST
Do you feel unwell after drinking milk or dairy products?
Find out if you suffer from lactose intolerance!
Lactose is the main sugar in milk. It is present, most predominantly, in condensed milk, evaporated milk, powdered milk, milk (whole, semi-skimmed, skimmed, skimmed, with chocolate), cheese, ice cream, cream, chocolate milk and butter.
Lactose intolerance is the inability to digest the sugar lactose due to a deficiency of the digestive enzyme lactase.
It is estimated that 70% of the world's population - including 1/3 of the Portuguese, suffer from lactose intolerance.
LACTOTEST allows you to find out if you have lactose intolerance. It can be carried out using exhaled air samples (breathing test) or blood samples (glucose measurement test).
Samples: Breathed air or Blood
Fasting: 12h (respiratory) or 8h (blood)
GLUTEN INTOLERANCE TEST
Do you feel bad after eating cereal?
Find out if you suffer from gluten intolerance!
Gluten is a set of proteins found in wheat, barley, rye, oats and all products derived from them.
Gluten intolerance (or non-celiac gluten sensitivity) occurs when the body has a negative reaction to gluten intake, but does not directly cause damage to the small intestine, as is the case with celiac disease.
It is not yet known whether gluten intolerance is a permanent or temporary condition. Therefore, after excluding celiac disease, it is recommended to follow a strict gluten-free diet, which must be maintained throughout your life.
GLUTENTEST assesses the probability of suffering from gluten intolerance.
Samples: Blood
Fasting: Not necessary

OXIDATIVE STRESS PROFILE
Oxidative stress is responsible for premature aging and is implicated in numerous diseases (cardiovascular, neurological, degenerative and certain types of cancer).
Assessment of oxidative status (oxidation of lipids, DNA, proteins, carbohydrates)
The Oxidative Stress Profile Test includes the evaluation of: Oxidation markers, pre-oxidant metals, free radical neutralizers or non-enzymatic anti-oxidants, cofactor metals of anti-oxidant enzymes, pro-oxidant metal-fixing proteins, anti-oxidant enzymes. -oxidants.
Many complex terms and results, which are fundamental for a good diagnosis of Preventative Aging Medicine.
Samples: Blood
Fasting: 4h
ADRENAL STRESS ASSESSMENT TEST
The current lifestyle can generate stressful situations that, if they persist over time, can seriously affect health. Assess your level of stress and your ability to adapt to it.
The stress assessment test (or adrenal stress index) allows the levels of cortisol and DHEA-S to be assessed, in order to determine whether there is a biological pattern of stress.
Samples: Saliva
Fasting: 2h
SLEEP CHANGES TEST
MELATONIN BIORYTHM ANALYSIS
DO YOU HAVE DIFFICULTY FALLING ASLEEP, WAKE UP CONSTANTLY DURING THE NIGHT?
Sleep disorders affect every aspect of our lives: our health, mood and performance. To sleep well, we must have restful sleep: continuous, deep and without interruptions.
Take the first step towards achieving a more restful sleep!
Samples: Saliva
Fasting: 2h
HAIR MINERALOGRAM
The Hair Mineralogram assesses metabolic imbalances by quantifying mineral and toxic elements in the hair.
Minerals + Toxics Profile
Samples: Hair (1 gram)
Indications: Clean hair, without coloring (1 month), without perm or other chemical treatments. No moisturizing gel, cream or oil.
NEOBONA PRENATAL TEST
The new generation of non-invasive prenatal testing - Neobona
Detects the risk of the most common trisomies, without risks for the mother and fetus!
Detects the most common chromosomal abnormalities in pregnancy by studying the fetal DNA present in the mother's blood.
provides highly reliable results for screening:
Most common chromosomal aneuploidies (Trisomies 21, 18 and 13)
Sex chromosome aneuploidies and fetal sex determination
(baby's sex)
This Neobona test inspires confidence in parents, as it allows the detection of chromosomal abnormalities in the fetus from the 10th week of pregnancy.
The sensitivity of conventional screening is around 90%, which means that out of every 100 fetuses with Down syndrome (trisomy 21), 10 would not be detected (false negatives).
The overall sensitivity of the Neobona test is greater than 99% for Down (cr.21), Edwards (cr.18) and Patau (cr.13) syndromes.
The specificity of conventional screening is 95%, which means that out of every 100 healthy fetuses, 5 are wrongly classified as high risk, causing anxiety and requiring additional prenatal diagnostic tests, such as amniocentesis.
The high specificity of the Neobona test allows the number of false positives to be reduced to less than 1 in every 1500 pregnancies, reducing anxiety and unnecessary invasive procedures.
The Neobona non-invasive prenatal test is indicated in the following cases:
It is indicated from the 10th week of pregnancy
It can be carried out in cases of medically assisted reproduction, including IVF with gamete donation
Suitable for twin pregnancies
It is a genetic screening test and, as such, must be prescribed by a doctor.
BABY'S SEX
Boy or girl?
Determination of fetal sex from the pregnant woman's blood
Find out your baby's sex at 10 weeks of pregnancy, risk-free!
With a simple blood sample.
